Black Belt is the world’s leading self-defense magazine and is dedicated to both the classical and the modern eclectic martial arts. First published in 1961, Black Belt features interviews with the world’s most prestigious martial artists and historical pieces on the philosophies of various combat styles, as well as in-depth coverage of the latest techniques, weapons, self-defense systems, training regimens and industry trends. Black Belt is published monthly with an annual subscription rate of $32.

In addition to the monthly magazine, Black Belt also publishes its yearly Buyer's Guide. The fourth installment, Black Belt Buyer's Guide 2008, goes on sale November 6, 2007.
