Sunday, June 24, 2007: "Bruce Lee Day" on Spike TV to Include Films, Archival FootageBy Raymond Horwitz |
Spike TV pays tribute to Bruce Lee, widely considered the greatest martial artist of all time, on Sunday, June 24 with what the cable network is advertising as Bruce Lee Day. The homage to Lee will consist of nearly 10 hours of programming and rare digital content, highlighted by his daughter Shannon Lee hosting a presentation of her father's classic 1973 film Enter the Dragon. According to Spike TV, she will share personal anecdotes and behind-the-scenes details about the making of the famous film. Also slated for broadcast are the Bruce Lee films Game of Death (1978) and Fist of Fury (1972), as well as the 1993 biographical film Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, starring Jason Scott Lee and Lauren Holly. Leading up to Bruce Lee Day, Shannon Lee will make a rare public appearance when she appears live at the finale for The Ultimate Fighter 5, during which she will be interviewed by Ultimate Fighting Championship commentator Joe Rogan on Saturday, June 23.
